Woolley Grange Hotel and Spa Review

Hello everyone,
A while back myself and two friends made a visit along to a lovely little spa in the middle of Bradford upon Avon. We spent one night in this picturesque village. I thought I would share my thoughts about the hotel and share some pictures we took!
The main hotel.
The hotel was called 'Wooley Grange'. We chose the family suite room which had 3 rooms: the main bedroom, the living area with a sofa that could be turned into a double bed and the bathroom. Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures of the bedroom mainly because it became a mess pretty quickly with all our stuff- such a typical girls room! The room was nothing special but from what I've read/seen on trip advisor each rooms interiors are different.
This is Rex, the hotels dog who is available for cuddles and to take on walks!

In the rooms available to sit in there was free use of games, DVD'S and a PlayStation which you were allowed to take back to your room which is perfect for when travelling with children.

The facilities at the hotel that were included was an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, room service and private living rooms throughout the hotel which were available for use. The hotel was set in a beautiful 14 acres of land overlooking the countryside.

We ate breakfast, lunch and dinner at the hotel. The breakfast was included in the room price and was lovely. Lunch was on the pricey side and had really small portions. For dinner we chose to have room service and actually ordered off the childrens menu because the portion sizes were ample. Dinner was a little bit disappointing my food was quite dry. If I were to stay again I would probably go out for dinner elsewhere.

Unfortunately we didn't use the spa due to a lack of time. There is so much to do and see at the hotel I would love to go back again to see it all.

Wooley Grange is just one of 8 of these hotels run by http://www.luxuryfamilyhotels.co.uk/
they have them all around the country from the New Forest to Thornbury.

Overall I would stay here again, the grounds were beautiful the hotel was peaceful and not overcrowded and the staff were really friendly they even gave us a tour of the hotel when we first arrived.

Southampton Blogger Meetup #sotonmeetup

Hello!

So yesterday (August 8th) I had the pleasure of spending the day with these gorgeous blogging babes at a blogger meetup in Southampton hosted by Alice and Amy.

This was my fourth blogging event but second hosted by @sotonbloggers and I have to say they didn't disapoint. Hairfinity, ESPA and Jude's ice cream were just a few of the amazing brands that came along.

Before the event and after admittedly, I had some time solo shopping around West Quay and then I met up with Natasha and Charlotte at Starbucks. We made a cheeky trip to Lush then met up with another blogger Hannah and headed up to the meetup together.  I spent most of the day with them as well as mingiling with other bloggers. It was so lovely to spend the day chatting and enjoying a drink or two with people who enjoy the same things as you.

Charlotte, Maddie, Me.

There was also a raffle with some incredible prizes from a  sensational kit to a polaroid camera! Unfortunatly I didn't win anything but we did manage to raise £350 to epilepsy society which is a fantastic cause.
My favourite brand of the day were ESPA. Jo the consultant carried out a skin consultation and then gave us some sample products to try for our skin type as well as a voucher for a complimentary facial. The Hairfinity ladies gave us a one month supply of Hairfinity to try out too!

The event was held in Southampton’s Revolution which used to be Vodka Revs. The venue has just been renovated and it looks amazing. It's really spacious and the I would recommend the sweet potato fries because they were sooooo good!

Overall the meetup was amazing and if you are a blogger from Southampton or surrounding areas definatly follow @sotonbloggers for updates on more events
Once again a massive thank you to all of the bloggers who I chatted to for being super lovely and to Alice and Amy because without them meetups like this wouldnt be as fab.

The Netflix Tag

Hello everyone!

This tag was created by the lovely Alice who writes over at http://www.anniewritesbeauty.co.uk/ . Definitely check out her blog and perhaps even do the tag.

 1. What are you favourite series to watch on Netflix?

I love Gossip Girl, Educating Essex and Yorkshire. I could watch these series over and over.

2. What are you currently watching on Netflix?

I'm currently watching Pretty Little Liars and I've almost finished the second series of Orange is the new Black but I'm so sad that the third series isn't coming onto Netflix until June!

3. If you could have any series, old or new put on Netflix, what would it be?

Keeping up with the Kardashians! You either love it or hate, but I LOVE it. Haha if not friends although apparently that's suppose to be coming to Netflix pretty soon.

4. What is your one peeve about Netflix?

It doesn't have the original Mean Girls, I mean come on you can't have Mean Girls 2 but not have the original. GUTTED.

5. What are your essentials for a perfect night in with Netflix?

I'm loving to use up all of my Yankee winter samplers before Spring hits, a big blanket, tortilla chips and salsa dip! Mmm..

6. Recommend one series or film for someone else:

My favourites to watch on Netflix when I'm stuck is Meet the Fockers or Just go with it, so funny and a great film for all the family to watch.

I TAG....

If you do this tag be sure to tweet Alice the link at @alicespake ! Have a lovely day.

Real Techniques Duo Fibre Brush Set Review

Hello everyone!

Today I am going to be talking about some brushes that I am sure a lot of you will love- Real Techniques. I have tried a few other real techniques brushes and I have seen a lot of reviews but I haven't seen many on the 'Duo Fibre Set'. I got these from my dad and have been using them for a few good while now so I thought I would share with you my thoughts on them.

So the idea of duo fibre is that they pick up less product so that you can build up the colour. Personally I love this because if you're heavy handed like me with products like bronzer it will only apply a light amount to the skin which allows you to build up to the desired colour/look you want. They have a really light-weight application and doesn't fully push a ton of product onto your skin which I like.

In the set you get a face/powder brush which is good for powder so you don't get that over powdered cakey look. As well as a contour brush which is good for bronzer, blush and highlight or powder on certain part of the face (as it's smaller than the face brush). It controls the product well. Finally you get an eye brush in the set too. This is a great blending brush.

Personally if your starting out with makeup this brush set is a great one to get because although it may only have three brushes it has a brush for everything you could need. Also duo fibre brushes can work with cream, liquid or powder products so whatever makeup you have the brushes will work well with them.

Moreover the brushes create a perfect, flawless finish. They are super soft which is a bonus however the contour brush can become a little rough if it isn't cleaned regularly but if you wash your brushes regularly then they will be fine. The first time I washed mine they didn't shed.

If you are someone against animal cruelty don't worry because these brushes are 100% cruelty free.

In the set you get three brushes for £23.99 which works out at about £7.99 a brush which isn't bad when you consider a mac brush is at least £17+.

Shop this post: (These brushes are limited edition however they have been out for a while now)

Well that's the end of this post. I hope you found this review helpful and if you have tried these brushes let me know what you think too.
